Dell Touchpad Not Responding
Only Touchpad Driver available for my model is for Windows 7, and despite the Driver Installer advising me that it has all installed okay the Dell Touchpad still does not work, and I still cannot see the Touchpad in Device Manager!! I upgraded my Dell Latitude E6410 from Windows 7 32bits to Windows 10 32bits, now my touchpad is intermittent freezing for no more than one second each time. I'm having this problem same intermittent freezing problem on my Lenovo Flex 3-1570 with a Synaptics touchpad running Windows 10 Pro upgraded from Windows 8.1 Pro Update. Update: Just to narrow the scope of potential causes, I did not experience this problem when I was running Windows 8.1 Pro Update.
Dell Touchpad Not Responding
It only began after I upgraded to Windows 10 Pro. I first experienced it within my first few minutes ofrunning Windows 10 (i.e. Before I had a chance to install or update any software or change any system settings). Additionally, the computer is only one and a half months old so it is unlikely to be a problem with aging/failing hardware. When a freeze occurs, the mouse cursor typically freezes for somewhere between 3 and 5 seconds. I have not discovered any guaranteed repro steps nor any set of actions that seem to reliably occasionally trigger the freeze.
