How does one install mods in this game. The first one made it simple, but I can't figure out how to do it on this one. Also, how do I do it without ♥♥♥♥ing up my game or computer? About 1 week ago i finish Far Cry 3 (Thanks Helix!!) and think to give it a try again to Far Cry 2, long time ago i play this game in 2D (with an AMD GFX) and i found (in that time and still) this game have excellent graphics (it's a 4-5 years old game), but a weak story, tbh never finish the game.

It's fantastic I actually like it more than fc3. Make sure to install Dylan's realism mod it fixes everything people will be saying is wrong with the game here.Notice how if you google farcry 2 mods that's the first result.Don't be put off by the 'realism' thing it's more a gameplay fix mod with some better weapon damage settings.Edit: forgot about malaria that shit is bad and the mod that removes that wont work with this one so i guess you have to accept malaria for generally better gameplay. I've recently got back into this game, playing with Dylan's Realism Mod. Enemy snipers will often (but not always) see me before I see them, though I never feel they are cheating. Other enemies certainly don't spot the player in unrealistic ways.Play this game on Infamous difficulty with Dylan's Mod if you want a really engaging and challenging game. The player and enemies are all glass cannons, meaning you can be really effective if you retain stealth, but being seen will evoke a dangerous firefight. Overkill is another viable strategy though: mixing fire, explosives and machine guns will make things dead very quickly.Fire is done really well in this game.
You can start a forest fire with a well-placed molotov and enemies will run to escape it. Enemies also communicate and use flanking tactics to sneak up on you.The story line is interesting, with some good characters, the missions are VERY repetitive though. Luckily the game gives you complete freedom with how you approach missions so if you are creative enough you can vary your playstyle. Just make sure you have a backup plan.Malaria is annoying and enemies will respawn quickly after you leave an area. There are also only 5 quick travel locations per map (2 maps) so you will have to travel by foot/vehicle a lot.
If you can get over the game's flaws and really immerse yourself, it is a very rewarding experience. Also, the graphics are beautiful even by today's standards.
